Obituary

Lisa Dexter (September 20, 1951 - July 26, 2023)

Lisa (Guyott) Dexter, of Bedford NH, passed away on Wednesday July 26, 2023 at the

Laurelwood Memory Care home in Plymouth, MA after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease.

Born September 20th, 1951 in West Haven, Connecticut to Louis and Lorraine (Quinn) Guyott

she was the third child of nine in a large Catholic family. In her youth she was a talented artist,

winning local awards and displaying her works in art shows. After high school she attended

Garland Jr College in Boston where she focused on visual arts and design. During this time she

met her late husband Donn, and after graduating they moved to New York where she worked in

advertising for the Nynex Yellow pages. Eventually they settled in Bedford, New Hampshire

with their three boys, where she was active in the Catholic Church and community there.

Lisa loved painting, traveling, going to art shows and collecting art. She enjoyed spending time

with her many sisters, her children and grandchildren. She was an avid golfer, skier, and an

exceptional cook. A loving wife and mother, she will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her five sisters; Susan, Julie, Polly, Sally, and Georgia (Gigi), and her

brothers Louis and Steven. Also two sons Taylor and Nevin, three grandsons Miles, Cole, and

Brooks as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers in the Avita unit at Laurelwood at the

PineHills in Plymouth for their outstanding job, making Lisa's final years as happy and

comfortable as possible. We could not have hoped for better care.

Memorial service will be held September 16, at 11 AM at North Community Church, 72 Old Main

St. Marshfield, MA.
