IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Loring
Tripp
December 21, 1932 – September 17, 2025
Loring Tripp Jr., formerly of Duxbury, peacefully passed away on September 17 in Brockton,
MA. He was the father and father-in-law of Cheryl Botieri (Tripp) and Michael Botieri of
Plymouth, father of Loring Tripp III of Plymouth, and grandfather to several grandchildren and
great-grandchildren.
He leaves behind his brother, Carleton Tripp of Maine, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Loring was a proud veteran who served in the Korean War as a corporal in the 31st Infantry, C
Company. Upon coming home from the service, he began managing Tripp's Clams and
Quahogs, the family's shellfish business, and established Tripp's Fish Market and later the
Chowder House Restaurant and The Middleboro Fish Market.
Tiring of the cold winters, he eventually moved to Sarasota, Florida, and enjoyed the beautiful
beaches and sunshine. After a serious car accident, he returned to Duxbury and was very
grateful for the care and services he received from the Brockton VA for many, many years.
On November 14, at 10:00 am, a small service of remembrance will be held at Bartlett Funeral
Home, Plymouth, with burial following at Mayflower Cemetery, Duxbury.
In lieu of flowers, please do something kind for a veteran in Loring's honor.
