Manuel Costa, 79, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully, Friday, January 14, 2011 after a well fought battle against Alzheimer's Disease surrounded by his family. He was the son of Antonio and Maria (Paiva) Costa. He was born in the Azores, Portugal. Manny was the loving husband of 51 years to Guida (Tavares) Costa. He was the devoted father of Fatima (Costa) Metcalf of Plymouth and Susete (Costa) Callahan of Bellingham. He was the grandfather of Stephanie, Stacey, Andrew and Shane. He also leaves behind three brothers and three sisters as well as many in-laws, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends Funeral arrangements will be made by the Bartlett-Santos Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, January 18th from 4:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home. A mass of Christian burial will be at St. Mary's Church, Plymouth, on Wednesday, January 19th at 10:00 AM Interment will follow at Vine Hills Cemetery in Plymouth.
