PERRY, Margaret E. "Peg" (McDonough), 79, died peacefully, surrounded by her family on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Southwood at Norwell Nursing Center.

Peg was born in South Boston on April 10, 1942 to the late William and Marie (Lee) McDonough. She attended St. Augustine's School and graduated in 1959. She began her work life as a legal secretary and made many lasting friendships during that time. It was through one of those friendships that she met the love of her life, the late Henry A. In addition to being a wonderful homemaker, Peg was employed by Blue Cross Blue Shield for many years until her retirement in 1996.

Peg is survived by her sons, Stephen Perry and his partner Thomas LaRosa of Jamaica Plain, and Michael Perry and his partner Jillian Howes of Plymouth. Adoring grandmother to Rachael Perry, Jason Cook, and dear friend to their mother Hope Cook. Loving sister to John McDonough and his wife Angela of South Boston, and Martin McDonough and his late wife Claire of Scituate. Sister-in-law to Edward Kenney of South Boston. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Mary Kenney, William McDonough and his wife Hanna, Michael McDonough and his wife Eileen, Catherine Sullivan and her husband John, Anna Alexander and her husband Fred, and Thomas McDonough.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Southwood at Norwell for the compassionate care they provided to Peg in recent years.
