Maria Milagros (Trudy) Battles passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, MA on May 1st, 2026 after a brief illness. She was born to Adelaida and Pablo in Puerto Rico on February 13, 1960. She grew up in North Plymouth and attended Plymouth schools.

Trudy loved nature, going for walks and capturing stunning images of our world with her photographs. She loved music and rocking out to bands like Queen,Counting Crows, Alanis and Eminem was happiest dancing, joking and gardening together with her girls, we all knew she was a Rock Star, She also loved books, a newfound love for Nutella, finding deals at Savers, and playing word wars and scrabble with her sister and online players worldwide. Her memory was sharp and she would tell the most amazing stories from her life experiences and childhood. Her little sister and big brother loved listening to each and every one. She also enjoyed having good times with her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughters Heather Battles of Plymouth and Lisa Battles Dunville and husband Richard of Plymouth. Her daughters were her everything and her granddaughter Idira was her pride and joy.

She leaves behind her brother Nelson Rivera and his wife Jackie, of Middleboro, and her sister Maria Green and husband Ken, of Plymouth. She adored her niece (and bestie) Wendy Battles, her great nephew Daniel and great niece Teegan. She will be truly missed by her nephews Richie and Calvin, niece Bianca and many family and friends.

Maria was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Wayne Battles.

They shared over forty years of their lives together and they were both happy and most comfortable when they were home.
