Marie Ann Cannucci (Mimi) age 81, passed away peacefully on March 3rd at her home in Plymouth, MA.

Born in Kingston MA. She was the daughter of the late Oliver and Ida (Scalabroni) Govoni. A graduate of Silver Lake High School she went on to attended Wilford Beauty Academy and became a licensed cosmetologist. She had a long career of hairdressing; owning and operating Standish Beauty Salon in Plymouth with her twin sister Barbara.

Avid Red Sox fan, Marie also enjoyed hosting family cook outs and attending them. She liked dining out with friends and family but really found pleasure in cooking amazing Italian meals.

She cherished the time she spent with her granddaughter and great grandson, she was delighted anytime she could give them presents, attend one of their sporting events, take them out to eat or cook for them. She was a very independent lady and to the horror of her neighbors and family members would often be seen mowing her own lawn up until the age of 79.

Marie was a loyal, fun-loving wife of 49 years to the late Alfred J. Cannucci. She leaves behind her only daughter LynnMarie Cannucci, granddaughter Chelsey Marie Cohen and great grandson Brayden Jeffery Mearls. Marie was the beloved sister of Lois Minelli and Barbara Bocon. She was predeceased by her brothers Richard and John Govoni

Funeral arrangements will be under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth. Visitations will take place on Thursday, March 16th from 4 to 6:45 pm at the funeral home. A memorial service will begin at 6:45 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be held privately, at a later date.
