Marie Giso of West Yarmouth passed at home October 10th, 2021, after a brief illness at the age of 76. She was born in Somerville MA. She is predeceased by her parents, Josephine and Michael Giso, and her brother Michael Giso Jr. She is survived by her sister, Laurie Bologna, her husband Joe of Methuen, their children- Marie's nephew and niece, Jamie and Cinzia, as well as their spouses and children; also her cousins, Joanne, Camille and Donna Fantasia of Boston and Dennis. She was a long time friend to Al Crest and his partner Bill, and a cherished neighbor and "Lovey" to Theresa and John. She was Hanai of Suzanne and Bob Turo of Centerville and honored "Tutu" of the Turo Ohana of Cape Cod.

Marie was free spirited, loved to laugh, the sun and beach. She was well travelled in her youth. She became a great cook, avid reader, golfer and a loyal Red Sox and Patriots fan. She was a sage and gave great advice. She taught newly met strangers how to clam at Seagull Beach and would be surprised the next year with clams on her doorstep by the same. She was a rescuer of animals, people and children, taking in all when emergency arose. She was involved with Cairn Rescue, and assisted with homing displaced and abandoned dogs. She loved her little cottage full of friends, music and laughter. Many called her family, friend, and Aunty. She will be loved and remembered forever.

Marie is home now with her loves Moshe Hayon and Zoe Lee Norton in the presence of Our Creator.

Those who wish may honor her memory by looking after a neighbor, cooking a meal for someone hungry, adopting an animal in need, making a Donation in her name to your Northeastern Animal Shelter of New York or to VNA Hospice of Cape Cod. Thank you Dr. Alfonso, Deb, Margo, Sarah and Joyce for providing compassionate care and support when Marie and her caregivers needed it the most. A private celebration of her life was held.
