Marie
Klusky
May 28, 1964 – June 10, 2024
Kathleen Francis Andruk of Brockton MA, formerly of Pembroke Ma and Fall River MA, passed away peacefully at Heights Crossing after succumbing to Alzheimer's.
Kathy was the daughter of the late James Edward (Eddie) Glynn and Mary Glynn of Fall River. Kathy was born and raised in Fall River where she attended Dominican Academy. In 1961 she married Edwin Andruk and moved to Brockton where they raised four children.
When the kids were all enrolled in school, Kathy pursued her associate's degree from Massasoit Community College and then her bachelor's degree in nursing from UMASS Dartmouth, (SMU). She worked as a registered geriatric care, charge nurse for several extended care facilities and hospitals on the south shore.
After retirement and Edwin's passing, Kathy enjoyed spending time in her gardens at her home in Pembroke, interacting with her local wild turkeys, squirrels and chipmunks and spending quality time with her grandchildren. Kathy also enjoyed cooking and graciously hosting many years of family parties. She also traveled to Italy, London, Florida, Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire and NYC. She loved playing the piano, bargain shopping, puzzles, and playing scrabble.
Kathy's greatest gifts to her children, grandchildren and extended family, was her generosity and the time she spent with them, teaching them arts and crafts, introducing them to music and other creative endeavors and activities, always encouraging them to pursue their goals.
Kathy is survived by her sister Ann Gilbert and husband Bill of Raynham, MA, her daughter Eileen Andruk of Plymouth MA, son Raymond Andruk, his wife Wendy and their sons Samuel and Zev of Hanson, MA, her daughter Liz Jardin and husband Michael of Bridgewater MA, her extended family Luke Marble, his wife Lisa and son Zack, Suzanne Frazier and husband Lee. She also leaves many cousins, nieces and nephews and in-laws on both her and Edwin's side of the family. She was predeceased by her son Gregory Andruk of Pembroke as well as her younger sister Eileen Houde and Eileen's husband Joe of Portsmouth RI.
Kathy will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
