Souza, Michael, 60, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2018. Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Frederick and Evelyn (Cardoza) Souza. After his time in the Navy he went to school for criminal justice. He worked for both the Massachusetts and New Hampshire Deparment of Correction for many years. Michael loved running, he ran many marathons and half marathons and even did an Iron Man Triathalon. He loved horses and horseback riding, loved going to the dog track and golfing. He loved his dogs and his cat, but his family was the most important to him. Michael leaves behind his wife of 41 years, Suzanne. He also leaves behind his children, Jason and his wife Kimberly, Jeffrey and his wife Candace and Heidi. He was "gramps" to three grandchildren; Jeffrey Jr., Nolan and Olivia. He also leaves behind his sisters; Diane Edwards, Pamela and her husband Peter Richards, Sister-in-Law Sandy Souza and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Fred and Jeffrey. Funeral arrangements will be under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth. Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 21st from 10am-noon at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Center Cemetery (First Parish Cemetary) Dexter Lane Rochester, Ma.
