Schneider, Mildred, 87,of Holbrook, unexpectedly passed away on January 11, 2013.she was born in Boston, the daughter of the late William and Davina (Auchterlonie) Boyd. She was a long time resident of Holbrook and Hyannis. She was the wife of the late Alan C Schneider. The loving mother of Sharyn H Chisholm, Kathleen M (& Dan) Beaton, Melissa A (&Luther) Whitener, Margaret J Schneider, Fred L & (Mary) Schneider and A Jeffrey & (Peg)Schneider. She was the grandmother of Lisa Kenney, George & David Chisholm, Christopher, Michael and Amy Jordan, David Laun, Richard Corso, Kristen Whitener, Heather Morgan, Chad & Ryan Baptiste,and Rachael &Jeremy Schneider. She leaves behind 29 great grand children and 2 great great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her beloved sister, Helen Fay of Somers, CT. and her two sisters in-law, Virginia Boyd of Marshfield and Jean Boyd of Sharon. She was preceded in death by her son, William L Smith, her sister, Margaret Arnott, her brothers; William Boyd and Jack Boyd. She also leaves behind her two beloved friends, Ruth Garib and Anna Carroll, both of Holbrook as well as many, nieces and nephews. Millie really enjoyed teaching at Head Start in Brockton and Stepping Stones in Centerville. Millie loved family get-togethers because the whole family would sing. Music was such an important part of her life. Gardening was Millie's passion, and she loved sitting for hours bird watching and reading on her front porch. A celebration of Millie's life will be held this spring.
