Obituary

Olga Davis January 3, 1954 – October 12, 2026

Olga Davis (Zakorczemnyj), 72, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2026, following a valiant battle with Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease. Though her time with us has come to an end, the joy, laughter, love, and unforgettable memories she leaves behind will forever live in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Born in Belgium on January 3, 1954, to Wasyl Zakorczemnyj and Kataryna Pukatch, Olga later immigrated to New Haven, Connecticut, before moving to New Jersey, where she graduated from Irvington High School. In 1988, she made Massachusetts her home, building a life filled with family, friendship, adventure, and cherished memories. She later spent her retirement in the warm sun and beaches of Florida.

In her younger years Olga was a proud member of CYM (Ukrainian American Youth Association), an experience that held a special place in her heart. She often reminisced fondly about her summers at Ukrainian camp, sharing stories that reflected her deep appreciation for her heritage.

To know Olga was to know someone who brought light into every room she entered. She was truly the life of the party, with a contagious laugh that could brighten anyone’s day and a spirit that drew people toward her. Music was one of her greatest joys, and whenever a good song played, Olga was never far from the dance floor. Her energy, warmth, and zest for life were unmistakable, and her presence made even the simplest gatherings feel like a celebration.

A gifted cook and gracious hostess, Olga had a special talent for bringing people together. Whether preparing a casual dinner for loved ones or hosting an elaborate party, she took pride in creating beautiful experiences around the table. For Olga, entertaining was more than serving a meal; it was about celebrating life, sharing laughter, and making everyone feel welcome.

Olga also had an unmistakable sense of style. Always dressed to the nines, she carried herself with elegance and confidence, taking pride in looking her best and staying fashionable. She understood that style was not simply about what one wore, but about the personality and confidence one brought to every occasion.

As she grew older, Olga embraced life’s adventures with renewed enthusiasm, traveling the world and immersing herself in the food, art, and culture of the places she visited. As a longtime and dedicated employee of Delta Airlines she delighted in discovering new destinations, savoring local cuisine, and experiencing the beauty of different cultures. Yet, among all the wonders the world had to offer, a beautiful beach held a special appeal—a place to bask in the sunshine, relax, and appreciate life’s simple pleasures.

Beyond her love of travel, fashion, music, and entertaining, Olga was known for being a wonderfully cool mom. She kept up with the latest songs, knew the newest memes, and was never afraid to deliver a perfectly timed “that’s what she said.” Her quick wit, playful humor, and ability to connect with the younger generation made her not only a beloved mother but also a friend, confidante, and endless source of amusement. She embraced life with a youthful spirit that never faded.

Above all, Olga treasured her family. She was a devoted and cherished mother to her daughters, Danielle Davis and her husband, Nathan Nickerson, and Ana Wilson and her husband, Christopher. She was a loving and proud Baba to her grandchildren, Cassidy Wilson and Benjamin Nickerson, who brought immeasurable joy to her life. She is survived by her brother-in-law Nicholas Kolos, nieces Kristina and Natalie and her nephew Peter. She also shared a meaningful life and a love of adventure with her longtime partner, Jose Lopez, with whom she explored the world and made countless memories.

Olga’s life was a beautiful reminder to celebrate every moment, dress up for the occasion, turn up the music, gather the people you love, and never lose your sense of humor. She lived with passion, embraced new experiences, and gave those around her countless reasons to smile. Her legacy is one of laughter, generosity, resilience, and a love of life that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.

She will be profoundly missed by her daughters, grandchildren, partner, extended family, and dear friends. Though her absence leaves an immeasurable void, her laughter will echo in their memories, her love will remain in their hearts, and her spirit will live on in every celebration, every shared meal, every favorite song, and every beautiful place discovered in her honor.

May Olga now dance among the angels, surrounded by eternal peace, with the same grace, style, and radiant spirit that made her so extraordinary here on Earth. She will be loved always, remembered forever, and missed beyond measure.

May she rest in eternal peace.
