Patricia Engstrom (aka Patsy Kennan), age 82, peacefully reunited with her husband, son, sister and lifetime friends on Sunday August 31st, 2025. Patricia was born in 1942 to her mother, Marguerite and father Harry Kennan. She grew up along side her older sister Maureen and her younger brother Dwight in Cleveland Ohio. As a child she loved to play dress up, have tea parties with her friends and get into lots of mischief!

Patricia married her husband John in1964. In 1971, with three children in tow, they moved to Delmar, NY. While raising a family, she continued her education at SUNY Albany, earning a degree in Political Science. She worked as the Assistant to the Executive Director at St Catherine's Center for Children until she retired.

In 1999 Pat and John were able to fulfill her dream of moving to Cape Cod. Together they pursued hobbies, traveled and adopted a new baby, Hannah the Chocolate Lab. Pat volunteered her time for The Friends of the Eastham 1651 Arboretum and The Eastham Dog Walkers Association.

In 2012 their son was tragically diagnosed with ALS and moved home to be cared for. She was dedicated to his caregiving along with providing as much love and happiness she could for him.

She loved gardening, dogs and the ocean. She also loved being Aunt Patsy and Grandma Pat.

Pat is survived by her daughter Jennifer of Plymouth, MA, her son Michael and daughter in-law Kirsten of Bedford, NH, Two grandkids, Carly and Tate, several nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
