Patricia "Pat" Moore, 82, of Mashpee, MA, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Pat was born in Malden, MA, on August 7, 1939, to the late Pat and Frances (Mucci) Mortellite. Pat excelled as a student, graduating among the top of her class from Everett High School and then from Tufts University in Medford, MA. Outwardly modest of her achievements, Pat was among the women pioneers of her time, earning a degree from Tufts in the male-dominated field of mathematics. She put her skills to use throughout her long and diverse career, including several years as a Fortran programmer at Dynamics Research, where she worked on the computer programming of the Polaris and Poseidon ballistic missiles. Pat later worked for Honeywell Systems as a systems analyst at the Pearl Harbor Naval Base. In 1966 Pat married her first husband, Leo McKinnon, with whom she shared a son, Colin. In 1976, Pat and Colin moved from Massachusetts to Hawaii to start a new chapter. There Pat met and married Robyn Moore, and together the couple launched and ran several successful businesses, including Computerland and the Packaging Store. While in Hawaii, Pat and Robyn grew their family with the adoption of their baby daughter Maile from South Korea. The family stayed in Hawaii until 1997, when they returned to the "mainland" and settled in Brewster, MA. Pat launched a new career adventure as a real estate agent, selling homes across her beloved Cape Cod. Pat especially enjoyed cultivating her garden, which continued well into her retirement. Her passions also included painting, doting on her cat and grandchildren, and singing in the church choirs at both St. John Vianney in Kailua, HI, and Christ the King Parish in Mashpee, MA. In retirement, Pat and Robyn also traveled often to Sedona, AZ, and Florida, where they could spend time with their loving blended family. Warm, funny and a clever conversationalist, Pat was a devoted mother, stepmother and grandmother. She was cherished not only by her immediate family, but friends, former co-workers, fellow church congregants and the extended families of her children. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Robyn E. Moore; her children Colin McKinnon (Judy); Maile Moore (Austin Wang); Stephen Moore (Cicely); Sean Moore (Jackie); and Matthew Moore (Lauren); and their 15 adored grandchildren.
