Patricia (Fernandes) Swinney, 84, of Plymouth, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2026.

Born on May 9, 1941, in Quincy, Massachusetts, Patricia lived a life defined by love, family, and devotion. She was a devoted mother, whose greatest pride and joy came from caring for her five children and embracing her cherished role as a grandmother. Family was always at the center of her world, and she treasured time spent together, celebrating holidays and creating memories that will live on for generations.

For the better part of her life, Patricia poured her heart and soul into her profession in healthcare, where her compassion and dedication reflected the same care she showed to those she loved.

Patricia was known for her kind heart, steady presence, and gentle humor. She had a way of making everyone feel welcomed and loved through her compassion and thoughtfulness.

Patricia is survived by her loving children: Hilario Fernandes; Camille Morris and her husband Nelson; and Carletta Butler and her husband Christopher, as well as her grandchildren.

She also leaves behind her loyal and dependable sister, Kathleen Wood, and her husband Leon Wood, of Middleboro.

Patricia was predeceased by her beloved husband, David N. Swinney, and her dearly loved children, Robert Fernandes and Maureen Alberti.

Funeral arrangements will be under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth. Visiting hours and services will be held on January 16, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Mary's Church, Plymouth. Burial will take place at Vine Hill Cemetery.

Patricia's legacy of love, devotion, compassion, and service will live on through all who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
