Obituary

Carlisle, Philip, 60, of Plymouth, MA, died July 12, 2013. Philip was born February 20, 1953 to Robert and Lillian (Shaw) Carlisle. Philip was a lifetime Plymouth resident. He was always there to lend a helping hand. Known to many as a very kind and thoughtful man, Philip's clever quirkiness and sense of humor brought a smile to many. Philip worked as a lobsterman and loved to fish. He still had an active commercial fisherman license to this day. He was currently employed by Plymouth Public Schools as a bus driver. He drove children to school sporting events and field trips. Also, at times, to out of area, chartered school trips. He was an extremely safe, courteous driver, who enjoyed the school children immensely. Philip's greatest joy, which he expressed to all, were his two daughters, that he had with Colleen Cahill-James Carlisle, and his five grand children. He is survived by his parents Robert and Lillian Carlisle of Plymouth. He was the loving father of Jennifer Carlisle-Brunner and her husband, Tony, and Heather Carlisle and her fiancé, Lou. He was the adoring grandfather of Bernard "B", Hayden, Nathan, Alana & Miss Charlotte, who lovingly referred to him as "Papa Phil." He is also survived by his three brothers, Robert (and Ruthann), Stewart and John (and Karen). He leaves behind two nieces, Elisabeth and Leigh, as well as a great niece, Emma. He will be greatly missed and will remain forever in our hearts. Until we meet again dear friend… Services will be private.
