Obituary

Richard H. Cronin, born on July 25, 1939, peacefully passed away on January 17, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Doris (Eddy); his son Mike Cronin and his wife Liana from Winter Garden, Florida; his daughter Cassie Lemcke and her husband Ben from Kingston and his sister Connie Noonan of Falmouth. Richard was a proud grandfather to Richie and Maddie Cronin, as well as Sam and Max Lemcke, and a cherished uncle to Katie Connolly, Jack Noonan, and Patrick Noonan. He was preceded in death by his parents Richard J. and Cornelia (Cannon) Cronin and his beloved son Richard "Rich" B. Cronin.

Richard spent his formative years in Dedham and West Roxbury, where he fondly remembered his time at Roslindale High School and working at his uncle's funeral home in Dedham, earning the infamous nickname "Digger." After attending Suffolk University, he began his professional journey as a Probation Officer in Boston before relocating to Doris's family home in Kingston, where he enjoyed a successful career in real estate. His work even featured a memorable appearance on "This Old House," a story he loved to share.

Known for his sharp wit and engaging storytelling, Richard had a unique ability to light up any room with his humor. His captivating tales brought joy and laughter to those around him, creating countless cherished memories.

A memorial service will be held privately.

In Lieu of flowers, donations in Richard's memory can be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
