Richard Holbrook,77, died peacefully in Newton,Ma.

Richard was born in Weymouth, Ma and graduated from Weymouth Vocational High School. He was the youngest of three siblings to Everett and Eleanor Holbrook. His older sisters could relate stories of their younger brother and how much their mother loved him.

He enjoyed the craftsmanship of carpentry and woodworking as a career path. After joining the Navy he returned to the South Shore of Massachusetts to continue his career choice.

Richard met the love of his life, Reva Preston and they married in 1977. Richard was a loving husband and father to "his three girls".

He loved classic cars very much. His favorite pride was his 1967 light blue Chevelle SS. He was a classic rock fan especially Lynard Skynard. He enjoyed photography, his album collection, time with family and friends. For a "man's best friend" he had the boundless energy and love of a golden lab/retriever mix named, Spencer.

A man of few words he was known for special cards for his wife that showed his true emotions on Anniversaries, Birthdays, and Valentine's Day.

Richard was preceded in death by his loving wife, Reva.

Richard leaves behind his dedicated daughters Sidra Popillo and Husband Shannon, Krista Campbell and husband Josh, and Reva Joly, Grandson Corey and wife Samantha, and grand daughters Kiley, Jocelyn, and Everly and a great granddaughter, Amelia and extended family and friends.

A memorial service and celebration of life will honor him in the Springtime.

Richard's daughters would like to thank all who sent well wishes, prayers and positivity to Richard during the transitions in his last years.
