Richard Walter Lyon, of Plymouth MA passed away September 18, 2018 surrounded by his family.
Richard was born August 8, 1942 in Quincy MA. He was the son of the late Norbert and Margaret Lyon. He attended St Johns Grammar School and Quincy High School before joining the Untied States Air Force in 1961. Richard was an optician.
Richard is survived by his wife of 51 years Diane Gingrow Lyon, daughter Kathleen Joyce and her husband Kevan of Pembroke, son Richard W. Lyon of Plymouth, daughter Suzanne M Lyon of Middleboro, Granddaughters Kaitlyn and Kristin-Mary Joyce of Pembroke and Zackery Powell of Middleboro. He is also survived by many sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements will be under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth. Calling hours will be held on Monday, September 24th from 4-7 pm at the funeral home. A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Peter's Church on Tuesday, September 25th at 10:30 am. Interment will be private.
