Richard Anthony Pizzarella, 65, passed away January 10, 2022 at Cape Cod Hospital, Hyannis, MA after suffering from a sudden heart attack while cycling in Dennis, MA.
Richard was born in Dorchester, MA. He graduated from Dorchester High School in 1972. In his early days, he worked for Hub Mail Advertising and Home Depot. He found his passion as a greenskeeper, first at Otis Airforce Base, then at Willowbend Country Club in Mashpee and for the last 18 years at the Bayberry and Bass River Golf Courses in Yarmouth, MA.
Richard was an avid athlete. He grew up playing football and hockey. Later in life, he enjoyed skiing, but most of all, his passion was cycling. Richard was a huge New York Giants fan and rain or shine always wore Giants Blue proudly! Richard also enjoyed spending time and making memories with his family at the cottage in Dennis. He was most happy sitting in his backyard with Martha and his beloved Oreo. Richard was many things, but being a father was his most valued accomplishment! The love he had for his children was undeniable!

Also survived by his beloved brother Steven and his wife Joann of Dorchester, his nephew Kyle Pizzarella of Dorchester and pre-deceased by his niece Danielle Pizzarella.
