Richard Thatcher, son of Richard and Winifred Thatcher, left his earthly home to join them on February 28, 2024.

He earned his bachelor of science degree, owned two businesses and was past president of the Monument Beach Club. He was passionate about his love for, and dedication to his family and friends. He was an avid gardner, nature, lover, golfer, bowler, certified, deep-sea diver, fisherman, lobsterman, Volunteer firefighter, scout leader, ATV rider, and was a fan of bluegrass and country music.

He leaves behind his beloved family: his loving wife, Kerry, his children; Rich (Kelly), Katie, and Randy. He also leaves his grandchildren; Emily, (Nathan) Thatcher-Walker, Richard (Jake) Thatcher, Elise Thatcher, and great granddaughter, Violet. He also leaves his brother, John , (Karen), his sister, Fran (John), brothers-in-law, David Burns, Dr. J. William Burns, (Peggy), sister-in-law, Rosemary Gillett, as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

While he is rejoicing in his spiritual life with those who he left before him, his love and legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

Funeral arrangements will be under the care of the Bartlett funeral home, 338 Court St., Plymouth. Per Richard's request, the services will be private.
