Armstrong, Robert, age 78, of Plymouth passed away Monday, June 27, 2011. He was born in Plymouth, MA, the son of the late Angelia (Bessette) and Robert Armstrong. He attended Plymouth schools. Bob was the loving husband of 49 ½ years to Mary (Roderick) Armstrong. He was the adoring father of Steven Armstrong, Jean Garland and Denise Bratti, all of Plymouth. Bob was the grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his sisters, Dorothy Pederzani and Alice Neves as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Glenn. Bob worked for many years for the Commonwealth Shoe Company in Whitman as a business agent. He later worked as the Union President for the P & B Bus Line. He was a member of the Young American Club, the Cristoforo Columbo Club and the Sea Side Club. Bob loved cars and spending time with his family. Funeral arrangements will be made by the Bartlett-Santos Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth. Calling hours will be on Thursday, June 30 from 4:00-8:00 PM. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 AM, on Friday, July 1, 2011 at St Mary's Church in Plymouth. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private.
