Robert F. "Bob" Cassidy
1958 – 2025
Robert F. Cassidy, affectionately known as Bob, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025, in Bourne, Massachusetts, at the age of 66 after a courageous battle with ALS. Born in Brockton, MA in 1958, Bob lived a life defined by love, laughter, and generosity.
Bob is survived by his devoted wife, Heidi, and their children, Haley and Nicholas (Nick). He also leaves behind his daughter, Christine, five cherished grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. His family was his greatest pride and joy — the center of his world and the heart of everything he did.
Throughout his life, Bob worked as a courier and delivery driver for various companies, most notably North Falmouth Pharmacy, where he became beloved by everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. With his trademark smile and kind spirit, Bob brightened countless days — often showing up with one of his famous Entenmann's treats. To many, he was known simply as "The Bread Man/Donut Man," a title that perfectly captured his generous nature and love for giving.
Bob will be remembered for his selflessness, humor, and wisdom. His kindness, warmth, and the simple joy he found in making others smile will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him.
His family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to his care team at Cranberry Hospice who enabled him to live out the remainder of his life exactly on his terms.
Per Bob's wishes, services will be private. A celebration of life will be held in his honor at a later date, where family and friends can gather to share memories and laughter in true Bob fashion.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the ALS Association at als.org.
Though he left this world far too soon, Bob's spirit — generous, loving, and full of life — will continue to inspire all who were lucky enough to know him.
