After high school Bob joined the U.S. Army raising to the rank of Staff Sargeant while being stationed in places such as Germany, Korea, and Japan. He was also a graduate of Northeastern University.
Bob married the love of his life Charlotte "Mary" Nowell in 1959 and together they raised their 4 children in Marshfield. He could be frequently found at the Marshfield Senior Center where he had many friends and enjoyed penuckle. He also enjoyed reading, writing and drawing. He was a funny, caring person who always made his presence known!
