Robert E. Murphy, age 69, passed away peacefully on the evening of March 18th, 2025 after a period of failing health.

He was born June 15th, 1955 in New Bedford and lived most of his life here.

He graduated from New Bedford Voke and began working at Titleist not long after. He worked in shipping and receiving where he continued on until retiring.

Earlier in his Life, he enjoyed playing hockey, sailing on Fiddlers Green, participating in sailing races and the yearly highlight of Fugawi. He enjoyed meeting people, making them smile and telling his tales of happy and crazier times. He was an avid reader of many newspapers and here and there a good book. After retiring one of his favorite places to be was at Union Wharf where he met some of his greatest pals and kept up with the waterfront and boating news while enjoying his DD coffee.

Although Murph didn't have any family he was close to, he possessed rich friendships that he cherished. We will all miss him immensely and forever he will be in our hearts.

Murph's wish was to be cremated and internment will be private.
