Roberta Lynn Barber, 45 of Plymouth, formerly of West Barnstable died November 25th at her home, surrounded by her family, after a long hard battle with cancer. Roberta was a 1985 graduate of Barnstable High School, was a gifted florist for the A&P before changing careers and becoming an insurance agent where she most recently worked for the Mark Sylvia Insurance Agency in Osterville. Roberta was the daughter of Florence (Dowling) Barber Wilson of Centerville and the late David Barber. She is survived by her long time companion and best friend, Scott Griffin of Plymouth, her daughter Alexandria Lazzari of Dennis, Son's Thacher Lazzari of Goldsboro NC, Shaun Griffin of Plymouth, and her grandson David Lazzari. She is also survived by her brother Christian Barber of Sandwich and his wife Ellen and their children Arianna, Cassandra, and Joshua. Roberta's wish is that people will have a colonoscopy by at least age 40. This is an awful disease and can often be treated if caught early. A memorial service will be held at 11:30am on Saturday December 1st at the Osterville Baptist Church, 824 Main Street Osterville.
