Ledo, Ronald, aged 68, passed away unexpectedly, November 20, 2011, surrounded by family. Ron was born on February 2, 1943 in Plymouth, MA. He was the son of the late Demus and Elvira (Benassi) Ledo. Ron was raised in Plymouth, attending Plymouth schools. He owned and operated "Star Lunch" in North Plymouth for many years. Later in life, he worked as a courier for the Jordan Hospital. He made many friends there. Ron was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam. He played the trumpet in the American Legion Band in Plymouth for many years. He adored spending time with his family and friends. Ron was the loving father of Jackie Murphy of Kingston and Chrissy Warden of Mashpee. Ron was the "significant other" for many years to Christine Parks. He also leaves behind his sister, Elsie Ledo of Plymouth. He was "Grandpa Ron" to Katie, Sean, Erin & Kelly Murphy, all of Kingston. Funeral arrangements will be by the Bartlett-Santos Funeral Home, 338 Court Street Plymouth. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, November 22, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary's Church, in Plymouth at 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 23. Interment will follow at Vine Hill Cemetery in Plymouth. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ronald's name to help defray funeral costs at any Sovereign Bank location.
