Rosemary McCarthy 59, of Plymouth, passed away unexpectedly on May 2, 2015. She was born in Jamaica Plain, the daughter of Bernard Joseph and Mary Edna (Hand) McCarthy.
Rosemary (Rose to her friends) grew up in Hanover, MA, graduating from Hanover High in 1974. After which she moved to Cocoa Beach, FL a place that has remained near and dear to her heart. She later returned to MA, earning her degree in business from Fisher Junior College and has since called Plymouth her home for over 30 years. Rosemary was an avid reader that loved to travel and spend time with friends and family. Though, she was truly at her absolute happiest when out in nature, whether it was walking the dogs in the forest, golfing or just lying on the beach. Her sense of humor, laughter and unique perspective on life will be missed by everyone.
Rosemary is survived by her son, Bernard Basil Schultz IV also of Plymouth and his fiancée Shannon Mullen. In addition, she is survived by her sisters Muriel McCarthy of Hanover and Mary Anne Gasunas-Waller of Avon Park, FL. She also leaves behind her niece Shauna Sullivan of Plympton, MA and nephews Matthew Gasunas of Long Beach, NY and Ian Gasunas of Provincetown, MA
Funeral services will be under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street in Plymouth. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2015 from 4:00-6:30 pm and a memorial service held in Rosemary's honor at 6:30 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be held privately.
