It is with great sadness that the family of Sandra (Sandi) A. Pimental announces her unexpected passing, on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at her home in Providence, Rhode Island. She was born November 22, 1964, in Plymouth, to the late Richard A. Pimental of Plymouth and Leona A. Pimental Hommell of Moorseville, Indiana. Sandi will be forever remembered by her mother and best friend, Leona Pimental-Hommell, by her sisters Denise Pimental-Covel of Plymouth MA, her twin sister, Susan Pimental of Newport, ME, Anita Pimental of West Warwick, RI, Michelle Pimental of Plymouth MA, and her beloved cat, Cutie Pie Pimental of Providence, RI. Sandra will also be forever remembered by her nephew James R. Covel, her nieces Sherri Covel, Kendra Covel, and Celia Pimental, as well as her great nieces and nephews, Shane Covel, Kylie Selby, Cody Selby, Bianca Selby, Hunter Whelden, Aubrey Ormerod, Kolbie Ormerod, and Catherine Pimental. She was a 1982 graduate of Plymouth Carver High School. Sandra was an avid sports fan. She enjoyed watching her favorite teams the New England Patriots and the Boston Bruins. She also enjoyed the ocean, swimming, fishing, and participated in the Pit Bull Plunge at Warwick City Park in Warwick, RI. She also loved rescuing cats and caring for them. She was a very loving and caring person with a heart as big as Texas. Service details are still incomplete at this time.
