IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sean
O'Donnell
February 25, 1938 – June 4, 2024
On June 4th 2024, at the age of 86, the oldest teenager on the South Shore passed away peacefully, with family and friends by his side. Sean was the bartender and the face of Squires Pub for 37 years and the Circle Inn and Pony Room before that. Always proud of his Irish Heritage, he could always be heard singing the wrong lyrics to all of his favorite Irish songs. He loved his years as a softball player, was an avid golfer and fan of all Boston sports teams, especially the Celtics. He served in the U.S. Navy, was a graduate of Huntington Prep and Boston State College. His best childhood memories were of "The Hemmy", Hemmingway Park, where he grew up in Dorchester and from where he maintained life long friends.
Husband of Sheila "Sammy" McCormick. Father of Brennan, Jodie, and Grady. Father- in-law of Kathleen. Grandfather of Julia, Erin, Molly and Corinne. Sister of Kerry Campana O'Donnell. Previous husband of Jane Winchester. Pre-deceased by his parents Julia and Edmond and his brother Kenan. Friend to many. We will miss you Grampy, Dad, Sean, Seanzo.
Legally unable to respect his wishes of a flaming viking burial at sea, a celebration of life will be held from 2-6 pm on June 30 th at Atlantic Country Club, 450 Little Sandy Pond Rd, Plymouth, MA. All are invited to attend.
My mind knows you are in a better place where there is no pain. You are at peace,
I understand that, I just wish I could explain that to my heart.
- Sammy
