SPRING C. WILKS BENTON
An angel who landed in heaven with dancing shoes ready to go, Spring Benton passed to eternal life on August 28, 2018, surrounded by her loving and devoted family. She was the wife of Paul Benton of Whitman. She was an incredibly devoted mother to four daughters: Sabrina Khan and her husband, Kashif, of Kingston; April Inachchal and her husband, Aziz, of Plymouth; Erika Vardaro and her husband, Anthony, of Lynnfield; and Arlia Wilks of Metuchen, NJ. Spring was the proud Hulmoni of granddaughters Hannah and Melina; and grandsons Zachary, Amir, Hakim, Oliver, and Owen. She was the daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Doo Soo Suh. She was the sister of Junghi Kim of Lexington; Dr. and Mrs. Nam Pyo Suh of Sudbury; and the late Grace Chae of North Carolina. She was survived by many nieces and nephews.
Spring loved ballroom dancing and was known to clear a dance floor or two. Born in Seoul, South Korea in March 1940, she immigrated to the U.S. when she was just 15 years old. She married the late Louis Wilks in Chinatown then had her four daughters and raised her family in Hanover. She then moved to Marshfield and married Paul Benton. She enjoyed traveling and going for motorcycle rides. Not one to sit still, Spring kept busy spending time with her family and taking walks to the beach. A faith-filled, strong-willed woman, she was the epitome of class, grace, and elegance.
