Valerie Etienne Buckley was born on August 9, 1980, in Brooklyn, New York. She passed away on July 14, 2024, in Boston, Massachusetts at 43 years old. Valerie was known for her vibrant radiant spirit, compassionate nature and her unwavering sense of goodness. She focused much of her time on her family, friends and people in need. She loved reading, music and had a close bond with God.

As a therapist, Valerie dedicated her career to improving the world we live by deeply caring for her patients and making a significant impact in their lives. Her warmth and humor brought light and comfort to all who knew her. Her experiences gave support, strength and empathy to all. Valerie's life was a testament to love and kindness.

Valerie leaves behind her loving family: husband, Michael; their 6 children, Ayanna, Omari, Violet, Mikey, Jahkai, and Ziah; her parents, Gary and Marie; and her siblings, Rachelle, Vanessa, Sabine, Jerry, Gadinet, Ganaud and Garynaud.

Memorial services celebrating Val's life were held on July 26th, 2024 at Bartlett Funeral Home, and funeral on July 27th, 2024 at The Church of St Peter in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Family and friends gathered to honor her remarkable spirit and legacy. Valerie's presence will be profoundly missed by family, friends and her community.
