Obituary for William Hollis

Hollis, William, 57, of Falmouth, loving husband of Mary Hollis and father of Aaron Hollis of East Falmouth, passed away on November 20, 2014 at the Mass General Hospital in Boston, after a long illness.

He leaves behind his wife, Mary Hollis, and his son, Aaron Hollis. He was the son of Eleanor Hollis and the late William Hollis of Plymouth, MA and leaves 4 sisters: Kathy Morini, Marjorie Vickery of both of Plymouth; Bonnie Hollis of Rockland, MA; Patricia Bresolin of North Carolina and the late Mary Sturgis of Virginia Beach, VA as well as sister-in-law, Ginny Compton of East Falmouth, Ma. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.


After being discharged from the service, he set up his own business as a painter and landscaper on the Cape and South Shore for many years, until his illness. He was a loving, gentle, mild mannered, spiritual man who would always help and comfort a friend in need. He is loved and will be missed by many.

A private burial service will be held at Saint Joseph's cemetery in Falmouth, MA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gosnold Center in Falmouth, MA.
