Obituary for Donald Richard Lund

Donald Richard Lund, of Mashpee, Massachusetts passed away on November 24, 2014.

He was born in Tewksbury, Massachusetts on August 24, 1930, but grew up in Hingham, Massachusetts and graduated from Hingham High School in 1948.

He married Diana Lund in 1954 and will leave her side after 60 years.

Donald served his country for five years in the US Navy, as a Medical Corpsman attached to the US Marine Corps. Thereafter becoming a loving father to deceased son, Donald Lund Jr., Donna Coelho and Bonnie Miskel. He was also the owner of H&L Building Products and a salesman by trade.

He's known as an avid fisherman and hunter and loyal servant to the Mashpee community as an assistant to the Harbor Master. His biggest joy aside from his family was dressing up as Santa Claus for the children of John's Pond Estates during the holidays. Lastly, his most important footprint he leaves behind, aside from his children and wife, are his six grandchildren.

Donald was survived by his loving wife, Diana Lund, children Donna Coelho and Bonnie Miskel, and lastly six grandchildren, Ryan Coelho, Chris Coelho, Eric Coelho, Caitlin Miskel, Sarah Miskel and Jack Miskel.

Funeral arrangements are as follows, visitation Wednesday November 26th at Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth, from 4-7 PM. Funeral service will be held November 28th at Bartlett Funeral Home from 12 - 1 PM followed by a burial service at Massachusetts National Veterans Cemetery at 2:30 PM.
