Obituary for Bruce P Bayley

Bruce Parsons Bayley, a recent resident of Plymouth MA and former resident of Cummaquid MA, passed peacefully on January 8, 2015. He was 77. He was the son of the late William R. Bayley and Katherine B. Bayley of Cummaquid MA. He is survived by his sister, Barbara Bayley Bartlett, of Turners Falls MA; nephews: David W. Bartlett of Turners Falls MA, George D. Bartlett of O’Fallon IL, Jeffrey W. Bartlett of Marshfield MA, a niece, Susan L Bartlett of Orange MA, and twelve great-nephews and nieces.
Mr. Bayley was born in Orange, NJ on January 13, 1937. He graduated from West Orange High School, class of 1955 and went on to graduate from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine with degrees in history and economics. He spent 15 years in Vermont at Williston High School and St. Albans Academy where he taught history. He then moved to Cape Cod to be with his family and was an auditor for the Bayside Resort in Yarmouth for 23 years, before retiring. He was a dog lover and enjoyed sailing the waters of Lake Champlain & Cape Cod Bay.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Bruce’s name be sent to the Fresh Air Fund, 633 Third Ave, 14th Floor, New York, NY 10017, or the Bates Fund, 2 Andrews Rd, Lewiston, ME 04240.
