Obituary for Patrick James Kennedy

Kennedy, Patrick, 54, of Kingston, passed away unexpectedly on March 27, 2015. He was born in Rome, NY, the son of the late Thomas E. Kennedy and Shirley (Maynard) Pellegrini.

Patrick worked as a re-upholsterer in and around Plymouth for years. He enjoyed going out with his metal detector, with which he found many small treasures; including musket balls, and a belt buckle that dates back to the time of the Pilgrims. He enjoyed spending time in nature, and spent many hours walking in the wooded areas in and around Plymouth. He was a handyman, able to do light construction, plumbing, electrical, and finish work. He was also a self taught mechanic, able to work on most older model cars.

Patrick is survived by his wife, Helen. He also leaves behind his children; Patrick Boyde of New York state, Matthew Boyde of Plymouth, Elizabeth Kennedy, Jacob Kennedy, and Jonah Kennedy also of Plymouth, as well as Johnathan Days of Washington state. He was also the grandfather of; Ellexus, Zachary, and Christian Boyde of New York, and Michael and Hanna Boyde, and Quinn Kennedy of Plymouth MA. In addition, he also leaves behind his sisters and brothers; Thomas E Kennedy of New Bedford, Donna Kennedy Hernandez of Fall River, Katherine Kennedy Johnson of Washington state, Scott Kennedy of Washington State, as well as 8 nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his stepmother(s) Mary Kennedy of Washington state, and Bonnie Kennedy of Montana. Patrick was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Kennedy.

Arrangements will be under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home. Calling hours will be from 10:00 – 11:00 am on Saturday, April 1, 2015. A memorial service will be held from 11:00 am – noon. Interment will be private.
