Obituary for Joan Theresa Rose

Joan T. Rose, of Buzzards Bay, passed away Monday November 9, 2015 after a courageous battle with Cancer. Born July 25th 1937 in Boston MA, Joan was the daughter of the late Paul L. and Josephine M. (Conley) Kanter. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She dedicated her life to raising a beautiful and close knit family. She had a beautiful presence and a smile that was contagious. Her great sense of humor and gentle ways made her a blessing to be around. Joan is reunited with her late husband Frederick after his recent and unexpected passing. Joan is survived by her daughter Jean Pollara and husband Matthew of Plymouth, sons Kevin Rose and wife Cora of Taunton, Scott Rose and wife Christine of Bridgewater, grandchildren Matthew Pollara and wife Daniella, Jaime Pollara, Kristin Pollara, Andrew Rose, Alexis Rose and great grandson Matthew Pollara. She is also survived by her brother Paul D. Kanter and wife Carole and her sister Dr. Ellen V. Kanter and husband John F. Houton and a nephew, nieces, cousins and friends.
Funeral arrangements will be under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 12th from 4-7 pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Margaret’s Church in Buzzards’s Bay on Friday, November 13th at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow at MA National Cemetery.
