Obituary for Paul J Sgarzi

Sgarzi, Paul, 63, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2015. He was born in Plymouth, the son of the late Romeo and Lena (Montali) Sgarzi.
Mr. Sgarzi conducted an auto dealer business in North Plymouth for over twenty-five years with his cousin, Peter Sgarzi, operating a series of dealerships and auto service businesses handed down by their fathers, Romeo Sgarzi and Enzo Sgarzi, and uncle William Sgarzi, and founded by the Sgarzi family in 1925. Mr. Sgarzi was intensely interested in the automotive industry, as well as business in general, and enjoyed maintaining his home and garden. He was a student of finance at Stonehill College, from which he graduated with a bachelor’s degree. He also was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School.
In addition to his cousin, Peter Sgarzi, of Plymouth, Mr. Sgarzi is survived by an aunt, Olga Guidonis, and her daughter, Anne Stempleski, both of Plymouth. Mr. Sgarzi is also survived by many other cousins, among whom are Julie Sgarzi of California, Richard Sgarzi, Robert Sgarzi, Louis Sgarzi, William Sgarzi and Carolyn Reed, all of Plymouth, and Janice Kaiser, of Florida. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his cousin, Vincent Sgarzi.
Funeral arrangements will be under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth, MA. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 4th, from 8:30 – 9:30 am. A funeral mass will be at St. Mary’s Church on Wednesday at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
