Obituary for Joseph L Testa

Testa, Joseph, 47, lifelong resident of Carver, passed away in Boston on January 21, 2016. He was born in Cambridge, the son of the late Gregory and Grace (Delay) Testa.
Joe was a loving, single father to children; Joseph Testa Jr., Katelyn Testa, Ryan Testa, and Sarah Testa all of Carver. He also leaves behind his cherished fiancé, Sherri Bussiere, of Carver. In addition, he leaves his sisters; Laurie Testa, of Plymouth, Cheryl Payzant and her husband Ed, of Plymouth and his brother Gregory Testa III of Ogunquit Maine. He is also survived by his niece Kathleen Payzant as well as his nephews Edmund Payzant Jr. And Eric Simoes, as well as his children's grandmother, Jan Marsh.
Joe attended Plymouth Carver High School, graduating in the class of 1986. He attended Westfield State College. He was employed as a locomotive engineer for Massachusetts Coastal Railroad. And he formerly worked for Edaville Railroad, Capeway Rail Terminal and Boston Railway Terminal. He was a former Member of the Carver Fire Department. Joe enjoyed working on the railway and trains, bonfires, spending time with family and watching NASCAR
But most of all Joe enjoyed the little things in life like sitting by the fire with good friends and family.
Joe had the most unique sense of humor that was loved by all who knew him. He will be missed.

Funeral arrangements will be under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth. Calling hours will be Thursday, January 28th from 4 – 7 pm at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be at St. Mary’s Church, 313 Court Street, Plymouth on Friday, January 29th at 11:00 am. Interment will be private.
