Obituary for Lillian Kelley (Varley)

Kelley, Lillian, of Plymouth, died peacefully at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, Plymouth, MA on Jan. 22 2016 at the age of 98.
Mrs. Kelley, formerly of Reading, MA had resided in Plymouth since 1974. She worked part time at Ocean Spray Visitors Center (Cranberry World) for many years and was a long time volunteer at Jordan Hospital, where she enjoyed assisting patients as well as knitting bonnets for newborns.
Beloved wife of the late James Patrick Kelley, Lillian is survived by a son, Stephen Kelley and his wife Charlene of Plymouth, her granddaughter, Jill Kelley of Wareham, her granddaughter, Jennifer Murphy and her husband, Kevin of Weymouth and her great granddaughter, Emily Murphy. She is also survived by a son, David Kelley of Maine, as well as many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law, Nancy Burnham of Andover and long-time friends, Betsy and Dan Grecoe of Tewksbury.
During her long life, Lillian enjoyed many activities but most of all spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered fondly for the many wonderful dinners she hosted in her home. Private arrangements will be made by the family.
