Obituary for Maria Beatrice Rego (Melo)

Rego, Maria, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, February 13th, 2016. Maria was born in Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal, the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (Medeiros) Melo.
Maria was the loving wife of the late Joseph P. Rego. Maria loved to crochet, was an excellent baker and was known in North Plymouth for her delicious Portuguese treats. She was always kind to everyone and had a heart of gold. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Maria was the adoring mother of daughter, Maria Medeiros and her husband Joseph, and her two sons, Joseph Rego and John and his wife, Patricia. She also leaves behind her grandchildren; Elizabeth, Jennifer, Michael, Amanda, Shaun, Derrick, Nicole and Corey, as well as her great grand children, Justin, Dominic, Anabella, Landon, Olivia, Aiden and Madison. She is also survived by her sister, Maria Ferriera.
Funeral arrangements will be under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth. Calling hours will be on Monday, February 15th from 4 – 7 pm at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church, 313 Court Street, Plymouth on Tuesday, February 16th at 10:00 am. Interment will be at Vine Hills Cemetery.
