John Joseph  Medeiros
Medeiros, John Joseph (Jackie), of Plymouth, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2016. He was born in Plymouth, the son of the late Joseph and Bella (Valente) Medeiros.
Jackie grew up in North Plymouth, a high school standout in baseball and basketball. He graduated Plymouth North High School in 1966. He went on to attend college at UMass Amherst. Jackie worked for the town of Plymouth at the Manomet Youth Center and then went on to become the Recreation Director, Town of Plymouth 1972 - 2002. In his retirement years, he got a part time job at Perry’s Market. He mostly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren
He had many interests, including: Music, Golf, he was a Former member of Plymouth CC and a Member of Young America Club.

Jackie leaves behind his wife of 44 Years, Nancy (Randall) Medeiros. She was his high school sweetheart and they married on 4/15/1972. He also leaves behind his son Michael Medeiros and his wife Angela Medeiros as well as their children: Andrew, Colin, Jacob of Voorheesville, NY., another son, Randall Medeiros and his Wife Minh Medeiros as well as their Children: Isabella, Rosalyn and Everett of Kingston, MA. He is also survived in death by his sister, Marie VanSlyck and Husband Pieter VanSlyck of Duxbury, MA.
Funeral arrangements will be under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth, MA. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, 25th from 4-7pm. A funeral mass will be held at St Mary's church on Thursday morning at 10:00 at 313 Court Street, Plymouth. Interment will immediately follow at St Joseph's cemetery.
