Maloney, Lawrence Vincent, 68, of Plymouth, MA (previously of Syracuse, NY), passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on July 13, 2016.
He was the beloved husband for forty nine years of Cheryl C. (Nunez) Maloney; devoted father of Timothy Maloney and his wife Debra of Fayetteville NY. David Maloney and his wife Jennifer of Waxhaw, NC, Christine Maloney and her partner Rob Murphy of Plymouth, MA; a sister Cynthia (Joseph Michael) Steves of Ellisville, MO and loving grandfather of Danielle, Daniel, Christian, Matthew, Meaghan, Nathan, and Carson. Larry leaves behind several wonderful nieces and nephews. His son, Lance Cpl. Daniel J. Maloney pre-deceased him.
Larry was born August 7th, 1947 in Syracuse NY. Larry graduated from Henninger High School in 1965. He worked at Bristol Myers for 20 years before moving to Boston and working for Arbella Insurance for another 26 years. He retired in 2012.
Larry loved animals and maintaining his yard - he considered himself a gentleman farmer. Over the years he raised chickens, turkeys, ducks, and a goat with the same love he bestowed upon family. Larry most of all loved his dogs and rescued from the Doberman Rescue Unlimited of NH.
Funeral arrangements will be under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 3:00 PM at the funeral home in Plymouth on Saturday, July 16 and again on Monday July 18 at Shepardson Funeral home, 3111 James Street, Syracuse, NY. Funeral services for Larry will be a Blessed Sacrament Church in 3127 James Street, Syracuse, NY on Tuesday July 19. Larry will be laid to rest at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Syracuse, NY. Memorial donations may be made to the Doberman Rescue Unlimited.
