Obituary for Lena Pinto

Pinto, Lena, 89, of Plymouth, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2016 with her family by her side. She was born in Plymouth, the daughter of the late Bonaventura and Maria (Civetti) Iannucci.
After graduating from Kingston High School in 1945, Lena started her own business with her sister-in-law Doris Kreuger. They opened the “Koffee Shop” in Kingston, which served three meals a day to their many customers. Later she was employed as manager for Danforth’s Bakery in North Plymouth, which she worked for many years until retiring.
Lena loved all kinds of sports, including swimming, basketball, football, and her beloved Boston Red Sox. She enjoyed sewing, camping, bingo, Foxwoods, and spending time with family. Lena especially loved to spend time with her many nieces and nephews taking them to the beach and playing games with them throughout their childhood. Family was very important to her and she loved to have everyone together.
Lena was married to the late Antone Pinto. She leaves behind her brother, John Iannucci and his wife Camille, of Kingston. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Josephine Vergato, Laura Petit, Nick Mucci, Louise Schiavoni, Josephine Wrightington, Ben Iannucci and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements will be under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth. Calling hours will be on Sunday, September, 25th from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church, 313 Court Street on Monday, September 26th at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Vine Hill Cemetery.
