Helen S. McKinnon (Bailer) 87 of Weymouth, MA, passed away peacefully Saturday Sept. 17. Helen was the beloved and devoted wife of the late Robert J. McKinnon of Weymouth, MA, beloved mother of Denise McKinnon Coll of Raymond, NH and Robert J. McKinnon Jr of Marshfield, MA. Loving “Gram” of Branden Brillon, his wife Amy Brillon, Monet, Azaria and Aleera. Loving Mother-in-law to Arthur Coll and Noel McKinnon. Loving sister to Marion Dunphy of Quincy, MA and the late Emily Leslie of Quincy, MA. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Loving cousin to Diane Eaton of Scituate MA & Priscilla Kalajian of Melbourne, FL. and loving friend to many.

Helen worked as a daycare teacher at the Quincy YMCA for many years, she loved children. Some of her favorite things were playing with her grandchildren, baking, gardening and the town of Weymouth.

Helen’s wishes were for you to celebrate her life, not mourn it, and live every day to it’s fullest. “If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together keep me in your heart. I’ll stay there forever” ~ Winnie the Pooh.

There will be a celebration of life picnic in the Spring, her favorite time of year, at her favorite place, Webb Park, Weymouth, where a park bench will be put in memory of Helen and Robert J. McKinnon.

Cremation was under the direction of the Bartlett Funeral Home in Plymouth, MA. Family and Friends are welcome to make a memorial donation honoring Helen to the South Shore Elders Services 1515 Washington Street, Braintree, MA 02184
