Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of David Thomas can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: Dear Ellen and Family,

I send you the deepest condolences on the loss of Dr. Thomas. He was an inspiration to so many of his students over the years, myself included. David understood that those of us coming from working class families, the first to be college educated, had only to be exposed to a wider geographical and cultural world to expand our own. The impact David made on his students' lives is incalculable. Whether it was tutoring in Arabic, as he did for me, or freely giving of his time in other ways, Dr. David Thomas was a model for me as teacher and as a human being.
