Obituary for Jennifer Lillian Hanlon

Hanlon, Jennifer Lillian, passed away in her home on Wednesday, December 21 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 69.
Jennifer was born on August 23, 1947 in Lawrence, Massachusetts to Dr. Thomas and Enid Killeen. Jennifer attended St. Mary’s High School where she graduated in 1965. She went on to attend St. Joseph’s College in Standish, Maine, graduating in 1969. While in college she met her future husband, David Hanlon, a U.S. Naval officer stationed at NAS Brunswick. The two were married on August 22, 1970 and moved to the south shore of Massachusetts shortly thereafter.
Jennifer was a middle school science teacher in Brockton, Massachusetts for 28 years. She was also an accomplished real estate agent who worked alongside her husband, David, operating a general contracting and custom home building business in the town of Plymouth.
Jennifer loved the beach and she loved to cruise – she would often reflect upon these as some of her happiest moments. She also enjoyed the simple pleasures of lunch with family and friends.
Jennifer is survived by her two daughters, Patricia Neil and Deborah Blaisdell of Plymouth and her son Christopher Hanlon of Sturbridge, MA and their combined six children (Campbell, Raegan, Liam, Ashleigh, Bridget and Evelyn). She also leaves behind her sister, Michelle Phillips and her niece (Catherine) and nephew (Will). Her husband, David pre-deceased her in 2002.
Funeral arrangements will be under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth. A wake is planned for Tuesday, December 27th from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, December 28th at Saint Kateri Church in Plymouth. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
