Obituary for Janet Lorraine Ford (Racicot)

Janet L. (Racicot) Ford, a long time Pembroke resident, passed away peacefully at home on April 30th after a lengthy illness. She was 84.

Janet was the daughter of Armand and Dolores (Tassinari) Racicot of Whitman. She was married for 56 years to her beloved husband Marcus (retired Capt. Pembroke FD), who pre-deceased her in 2011. She worked for 20 years at East Bridgewater Savings Bank in Pembroke, the last 15 as branch manager. She loved her job, her co-workers and her customers. She was a communicant at St. Joseph the Worker Church in Hanson since 1952.

Janet is survived by her four children and their families: Shelley Loring of Kingston, her husband Doug and children Jason, Andrew and Allison; Mark Ford of Pembroke and children Alexandra, Sophia and Marcus; Steve Ford of Halifax and children Jeffrey, Jennifer, Jonathan and Amie; and Lynn Ford of Marshfield. Janet was also great-grandmother to 6.

Janet is also survived by her sister Gail M. Wallace of Whitman and her husband Cliff and was sister to the late Arthur A. Racicot of Whitman.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Friday, May 5th at St. Joseph the Worker Church, 1 Maquan St., Hanson, MA. Interment will be at a later date.
