On behalf of the Zak family, I would like to extend our deepest condolences to Ricky, Linnie, Dave, Tim, John and their kids.
Nancy Barbuto Brain and her family were a huge part of the happy memories growing up in Hanson. She brought so much joy and comfort to everyone she met, and her clever sense of humor and quick wit were unmatched...something she passed on to her kids. Everyone adored being around her.
On a personal note, she was one of my CCD teachers and would often joke, when I got older, that I had been her favorite student, with the exception of Christine White. I would joke back that she was my #1, except for Irma Wall, and we would laugh. I hope she knew how marvelous, too marvelous for words, we thought she was.
Again, our sympathies, prayers, and love to the Brain kids.

Nancy was an engaging, personable and and had an incredible sense of humor. We were close friends in our 20’s and 30’s , enjoyed playing cards, laughing endlessly at our husbands lack of luck, but, the men, plunged on or hours of laughter. Her commitment to our church, whether teaching CCD, being involved in the Couples Club, Our Lady’s Sodality, CYO, Legion of Mary always with her love and devotion to her family, friends and her faith. You could always depend on Nancy to bring out the best of a situation, and, oh to laugh. You will always hold a very special place in my heart and Steve’s for the many years of fun and, friendship . RIP gentle lady. Sincere sympathy to Ricky, Linda, Tim, David and Jon..
